Your post is very timely as I too have been questioning what it means to 'be feminine' and am going through a very emotional ride as I work to shed the behaviours I have developed that have been keeping me in my masculine for far too long. I wish to be gentle, yielding, softer, trusting, but I truly have no idea where to start. Heading to amazon to check out your book recommendation now...

p.s welcome back :) happy to see you here xo

I really appreciate you sharing this. I find it very interesting to hear the perspective of someone who identifies as "feminine" and also is exploring what they perceive as "masculine". I think you can likely tell by my quotation marks that I question the whole dichotomy, but feel like I am approaching this question from the exact opposite end of the spectrum. I will have to think about this and may post a response from my perspective. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings on this topic.

Nice one, Suki! Welcome back! I never thought of myself in this male-female way and it's nice to be aware. Although I wonder--in a nice way--what it adds to life, as in how does it help us on a daily basis. And I can relate to the male-dominated society. I grew up in India and there were many social norms to conform to as a female. It's a lot more liberating here in the U.S. of course, but as I age, I find most peace in discovering my Self and the perfection we carry within innately and that we lose touch with as we muddle through the machinations produced by the Mind and Intellect mostly. Such that we lose touch with our Self with layers and layers of conditioning. In that sense, our journeys are similar in that the journey is a trek *within*. All the best and look forward to being in touch.

Hi Anu! Yes, awareness is everything. It can open many doors to our inner worlds and take us on different paths. Like you, I grew up in a vastly different culture than where I currently live today. No matter where we are or where we come from, social norms seem to be… a norm haha! That said, I think you said it beautifully that discovering our Self and our perfection within is what fulfills us 🫶 what do we think is truly “us”? Whatever the answer may be, follow that (the feminine response 😉)
