I'm sure we need the 'negative' to recognise the 'positive', and I've been silently nodding along to many things I've read lately about not constantly needing to improve... Lovely read :)

Thanks so much Jess ❤️! I guess we’re all working towards a balance... and most of the times that balance can be achieved by not punishing ourselves or our “negative” traits :)

"I’m just aware that adding isn’t always the answer." really resonated with me as a 25 year old adjusting to adulthood... I loved it!

Really glad it landed with you! Something I’m working on myself too... and there’s always room for some LOTR references 🧙‍♀️🤣

"Love yourself by loving being yourself." Yes! And in the spiritual tradition of Vedanta, which I write about on and of, it'll be called "your Self" with the Self literally being the God within or the *Atman* or the blank slate of pure consciousness we are born as and that we return to. I know it might sound airy-fairy, but really what it boils down to is to believe that yourself or you own Self is divine and perfect because it's nothing but neutral consciousness and perfect. Then we live our life being led sadly by our Body, Mind, and Intellect and we believe we are our thoughts and lose touch with our Self. Rejecting thoughts and the machinations of our Mind and being more of a "witness" or sakshi (in Sanskirt) to life helps us find and move closer and closer to that silent strong and perfect loving Self in us that you talk about:)
